About my observation on this movie "Hamlet ". This task given by Dr.Dilip Barad sir Department of English. This movie ending tragic end. Hamlet a reveng play.
# Que:1 How to faithful is the movie the original play ?
"Hamlet" is a 1996 film adaptation of william Shakespeare's play "Hamlet" adapted and directed by Kenneth branagh, who also stars as prince Hamlet. Tragedy main hero good ability but tragedy ending why main hero died.
"To de, to sleep - To sleep, perchance to drean- ay. there's the rub, For in this sleep of death what dreams ..." (Shakespeare).
Hamlet : A Revenge play "Reveng never sleeps".
In the movie the director changes a lot of scenes he goes back and forth maybe the director thought it was easier for audience to understand.

# Que:2 After watching the movie , have your perception about play, character or situation changed ?
Characters:-
Before I watched movie my view about character of Gertude.Mother of Hamlet, she is good queen but after watching suddenly changed in movie.All character different personality. whithin two months followed his mother's marriage to his uncle Claudius, which she herself afterward spoke of as their "O' erhasty marriage" To Hamlet this seemed so improper, and followed so hard upon the funeral of his father that he sarcastically spoke of it as due to
"Thrift, thrift, Horatio ! the funeral
baked-meats
Did coldly furnish forth the marriage tables".

# Que:3 Do you feel 'aesthetic delight' while watching the movie ?If yes, exactly when did it happen? If no, can you explain with reasons ?
Yes, I feel 'aesthetic delight' There are many scene where I feel aesthetic delight but my favourite was; when Hemlet killed Cludius. and also in graveyard when Hamlet expressed his feelings to Ophelia:
I love Ophelia ; forty thousand brothers
Could not, with all their quatity of love,
Make up my sum,
# Que:4 Do you feel 'catharsis' while or after watching movie ? If yes, exactly when did it happen ? If no, can you explain with reasons ?
Catharsis means emotions of pity, fear,love ,care,hate and anger etc look in the movie.
Shakespeare's Hamlet successfully reveals catharsis and hamartia through Hamlet's indecision, and by highlighting the tragic losses he endures because of the unfair death of father. The audience is guided to believe that Hamlet did not deserve to die or suffer the great losses that he did in the tragic play.
Hamlet hate your uncle .This movie look in catharsis.

Yes, screeing of movie hlpe you in better understanding of the original play. This movie's plot is following of the original text. Some time movie and play between different look. But I saw the movie I understand the play. Few seen play and movie in equal. Movie in look simple style understaning.Movie and play in look what is different thinks.

Hamlet's constant brooding about death and humanity comes to a head in the infamous graveyard scene,where Hamlet holds up the unearthed skull of Yorick, a court jester Hamlet knew and loved as a young boy. If I am director, I want to get many changes, In the beginning and ending look statue in movie but ending part statue broken, My opinion ending play in statue different story and importance of the statue not broken. Hemlet life importance only revenge of his father and killed his uncle.my opinion in Hamlet play in not only father revenge focus but importance of mother(family) .

In the beginning of the movie camera rolls over the statue of king Hamlet out side the Elsinore castle and end with similar sequence this scene symbolize the cycle life and death.

While studying the play through movie I found historical and biological.What is the philosophical/moral approach in literature: A moral or philosophical approach usually describes or evaluates a work in terms of the ideas and values it contains.. The philosophical approach in literature becomes much more than a novelty, It becomes something human.

I think that here is texual approach is more appropriate than the other approach. Philosophical approach,Feminist approach,Mythological approch,psychological approach,Historical and Biographicalapproach.Text always give the different idea. It become someting human.
