Vinod Joshi born in 13 August 1955 is a postmodern Gujaratti poet, writer and critic from Gujarat, India.
His notable works include parantu, a collection of Geets ,Shilkhandi, long narrative poem based on Shikhandi,a character from the Mahabharta Radio Natak:Swarup ane Siddhant Drama:From and Theory, an abridged Ph.D.,Tundil -tundika,a from of padyavarta,a Gujarati medieval literary genre, and Zalar Vage Zoothadi,a collection of poem.
That means Vinod Joshi try to portrayed different look of Draupadi. Mahabharata's writer not portrayed Draupadi in this way. So there is different message for people.

કવિ વિનોદ જોશી એટલે ગુજરાતી સાહિત્યનું એક ગુંજતું અને ગરવું નામ. 'સૈરન્ધ્રી' ઑસ્ટ્રેલિયામાં સર્જાયેલું એમનું એક પ્રબંધ કાવ્ય છે. મહાભારતનાં વિરાટપર્વનો ટેકો લઈને રચાયેલી આ કૃતિમાં વાત છે મૂળ ઓળખ ગુમાવીને જીવી રહેલી એક સ્ત્રીની. શું એ પ્રતીક છે આપણાં સૌનું?
